Charles Tremayne

As President, Cineflix Productions, Charles Tremayne oversees production in Canada and the US from our New York and Toronto offices. His credits include Gangland Undercover, Gemini Award-nominated William Shatner’s Weird or What?, and successful brands including American Pickers, Motives & Murders: Cracking the Case, Surviving Evil, Nowhere to Hide, and Mayday.

Charles is currently the Chairman of the British Academy of Film and Television in New York.

Before joining Cineflix in August 2009, Charles served as an Emmy ® Award-winning Executive Producer in charge of RDF’s east coast production base which produced Wife Swap for ABC, The Detonators, and Arctic Roughnecks for Discovery, All Worked Up for truTV, and co-produced Fugitive Chronicles for A&E. Prior to that, he was at Granada where he spearheaded a joint venture with The New York Times, started Airline on A&E, created Room Raiders for MTV, co-created the long-running First 48 for A&E, and has produced several other series for Discovery, TLC, HGTV, truTV, and PBS.

Before 2000, Charles lived in Britain where he worked at Granada and was Executive Producer of the long-running current affairs series, World in Action, among other shows. He also oversaw the Savage Planet series for PBS, launched Britain’s first news magazine Tonight with Trevor McDonald, worked on the celebrated 7 UP series, and several award-winning documentaries.
