Ian Russell Joins Cineflix as Co-Production Director

Cineflix Productions today announced the appointment of Ian Russell as Director of Co-Production and Executive Producer. Based out of the company’s London offices, Russell will work closely with Creative Director Rob Carey and will be a key member of the company’s senior programming team.

As Five’s Commissioning Editor for News Current Affairs and Documentaries since 2002, Russell was responsible for large-scale co-productions such as Diana Last Days of a Princess and series including the influential tribe swap format  Return of the Tribe. He also looked after most of the Channel’s post watershed factual output with both one offs such as The Girl in the Box and returning series such as Trust Me I'm a Holiday Rep.

Russell, who will begin his new role in September, will be responsible for generating co-productions and presales in Europe as well as executive producing programming across all of the company’s genres.
